Privacy policy
FlightPrime Privacy Policy
1. Overview
FlightPrime helps you track personal flights. We process only data required for features you use.
2. On your device
• Saved flights, seats, notes — local SwiftData storage on iPhone.
• Language, country, notification and Live Activity preferences.
• Flight status snapshots for comparison and local notifications.
3. FlightPrime server
API requests may include: flight number, date, airport codes, Flight ID, and sign-in token when logged in. The server returns status, schedule, METAR, and reference data.
Registration: email, name, optional phone; password hash stored on server.
Flight statistics sync when signed in.
4. Location
Requested only with your iOS permission. Used to center the My Flights map when you have no saved flights. Coordinates are not sent to our server.
5. Google Sign-In
OAuth token is sent to the FlightPrime server to create a session. See Google policies at policies.google.com
6. Usage analytics
By default, the app sends pseudonymous interaction events (screen and action name, random installation and session IDs, app version, device region, and time). Flight numbers, chat content, notes, and coordinates are not included. You can turn app interface analytics off under Settings → Account → Privacy; those queued events and the installation ID are removed from the device. The server keeps events for up to 180 days.
Anonymous Course and SOS statistics are sent automatically to the FlightPrime server, independently of the app interface analytics switch. They include before/after anxiety ratings on a 1–5 scale, selected topics, catalog content names, actions and search topics. Question text, personal notes, account, installation and device identifiers are not sent. Random IDs join only one exercise and actions within a session, which changes after 30 minutes of inactivity; a new app launch starts a new session. Unsent events remain on the device for up to 6 days. The server retains events for up to 180 days; the analytics dashboard exposes aggregates.
7. Diagnostics (optional)
If enabled under Info → Send diagnostics, technical logs (API errors, Flight ID) are uploaded for ~30 seconds. No passwords or email content.
8. Purchases and notifications
Subscriptions are handled by Apple (StoreKit). When remote Live Activity updates are enabled, the server temporarily stores its Apple-issued activity token, flight number and route, and sends state through APNs. Invalid tokens are removed, and inactive records are automatically cleaned up after 3 days.
9. Retention and deletion
Delete flights in the app to remove local data. Delete your account and server data in Settings → Account → Account data, or contact support.
